A number of local and international partners and stakeholders including partner colleges, business leaders, community councils and the Edinburgh consular corps have also been asked to input into the development.

In developing the strategy the University Leadership Team also drew on the available information regarding perceptions of the University, performance, trends in higher education, political developments and trends in the wider economy and society which have the potential to affect the University in the period to and thereafter.
